Every poem is something that can be related to in every aspect of life sensation. From love to friend ship, a builder of faith, an awesome gift to be shared with others. Expressing the gratitude of thankfulness for all things throughout the faith I have in our creator. I believe I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me. Just want to encourage every reader to hold on never give up, this battle is not ours it’s the Lord. cast down all doubt and fears and let this book bless you the way it did me as I was writing. Despite unfathomable emotional pain, betrayal by loved ones, and a vicious cycle of yearning for outwardly love and attention, healing of the heart is possible!

This book is not just words penned to make someone feel good. Poetry from the Heart is a book of deeply personal expressions that reveal many of my life experiences and the deliberate obstacles that God allowed me to go through to heal myself and to help heal others. Some of the poems were directly inspired by the Holy Spirit.

This is the first of several books God put in me. In the process of writing this book, I found answers to questions that I had for years. God told me years ago that I would write poetry and that it would get published in a book that would provide me with answers to many question I had. It would also open my eyes about why certain things happened in my life. As I wrote the poems, God allowed the mysteries to unfold. And just as He told me I would, I found the answers that blessed me.

The poem Where is God When it Hurts? is the one that inspired me most and triggered the birthing of this book. I went through a vivid time in my life that the only way healing came was through writing what I was feeling. Out of the writings came Poetry from the Heart. For this I am so grateful. I pray that this book will be a blessing to every hand that holds it and every soul that receives it. May it bring wholeness and healing to every part of you and help to lay the foundation for discovering the answers to questions that you, too, have pondered in your heart and never shared with anyone.

Step-Children
Living with your own children can sometimes be tough.
Bring in a couple of step-children and tough becomes rough.
Reasons for the entrance of step-children vary,
Remember the road for them is just as scary.

Yes, there are more hungry mouths to feed,
And the cost of groceries has doubled to fill the need.
But, those step-children used to have rooms of their own,
Where now they must share a room and find no time alone.
Arguments are more frequent over which TV shows are groovy,
Offer to make bowls of popcorn and sit as a family for a movie.
Game night is always a help if the children are young,
Or read books together as with that, no one is wrong.

Making it work with step-children around
Will be worth it in the end, or so it has been found.
Some tell you to give up and some tell you to stick it out.
Whatever you do, dont let them see you pout.

The next time you begin to feel sorry for yourself,
Look where you placed that step-childs award on a shelf.
Remember the smile you received when you placed it there,
And how your heart melted as you began to care.
