As I experienced various situations and personal encounters during my life, it is my intention to not only reflect upon them but to also hope that my readers experience reflections of their own and, in some ways, relate to my words and feelings. Prior to this publication, various people read selected works and experienced a very emotional feeling, and in several cases, they were moved to tears. While being published is clearly a very high honor, to witness others respond in such an emotional way to my writing is just as fulfilling and is in a very real way a validation of my work and elicits in me, a feeling of immense joy.

Endless Horror, Words Unspoken, and Black Hole were written based on my feelings of my mom having cancer. My mom told me she had breast cancer and cervical cancer. Endless Horror is part one of how I was feeling being told she wasnt going to live. Words Unspoken is part two, and it was difficult writing how much it really hurt inside. Black Hole is part three, and it was difficult writing how hard it was, knowing she couldnt be saved. She didnt die from the cancer. I found out after she died on July 12, 2013, that she lied about having cancer. So Im dedicating these poems to anyone who knows someone who has cancer and can relate to the feelings.

I didnt decide to write a poetry it just came to me, I have always loved poetry and literature.

Poetry expresses the emotions inside of us that we cant express to a person rather it be love, sadness, disappointment or remorse. Poetry is the words that makes our hearts feel, but also teaches us, others whom listens to the poems.

I believe in teaching children at a young age to express with words, I believe totally in communication in a marriage or relationship for when we hold it so much inside so why not write what I feel if I cant tell a person. I write of love for I have love. Love from God even if the neighbor hates me I write of love. I believe most f writing I express in words comes from being the third child I was shy as a child and in my marriage I never got to speak the way I felt, never was important towards the end of my marriage so I just shut down and wrote.

The majority of my poems would come to me while I was asleep in my bed. I would wake up with these
thoughts in my head and I knew I had to turn on the light and jot them down. I would always be amazed that I was able to come up with these words that rhyme. I feel truly Blessed that I can do this.

When you walk with the one you love
for fifty years and more
A lifetime is locked in the memory’s store,
Some of the difficult things you shared before,
And the tender things you shared
with the one whom you adore.
Looking back over all the passing years,
at all the joys and fears
You recognize that underneath you both
are God’s everlasting arms,
That have carried you, and kept you both
from everlasting harms.
Such love, long lived, is a precious thing
That makes the humble heart dance and sing.

These poems are a collection of poems which have been written over several years. They include a lot of Jane Begley’s personal experiences about the trials and tribulations of life. Most of these we will all experience at some point in our lives. These poems touch the heart. They tell us not to give up and to always listen to our hearts and not always to what we are told! Always stay active, be outside in nature as often as possible and just try to be a nice person!
